Online Search

The Online Search feature allows you to search the web for real-time information about companies, markets, and financial topics. This powerful tool leverages AI to provide concise answers to your questions while citing relevant sources.

Online Search Overview

When you navigate to the Online Search section, you'll find a simple and intuitive interface that allows you to:

  1. Enter your search query
  2. Select search options
  3. View search results
  4. Generate comprehensive reports based on your searches

Search Options​

The Online Search feature offers several configuration options to customize your search experience:

Search Mode​

  • Basic Search: Uses 1 search credit and provides a concise answer based on a limited number of sources
  • Advanced Search: Uses 2 search credits and provides a more comprehensive answer based on a larger number of sources

Topic Selection​

  • General: Searches for general information across the web
  • News: Focuses specifically on news articles, with the option to specify how many days of prior news to include (up to 7 days)

Search Results​

After submitting your query, the Online Search feature will:

  1. Search the web for relevant information
  2. Analyze the search results
  3. Generate a concise answer to your question
  4. Provide links to the source material

Each search result includes:

  • The query you entered
  • A concise AI-generated answer
  • Relevant images (when available)
  • The option to view the source material

Creating Summary Reports​

One of the most powerful features of the Online Search tool is the ability to generate comprehensive summary reports based on your search results.

Report Generation​

After performing a search, you can click the "Create & Send Summary Report" button to:

  1. Generate a detailed report based on the search sources
  2. Have the report automatically emailed to your registered email address
  3. Access the report through the Search Reports section within Knowledge Base

This feature requires 10 search credits and provides a much more in-depth analysis than the initial search results.

Report Benefits​

The summary reports offer several advantages:

  • Comprehensive Analysis: More detailed than the initial search results
  • Structured Format: Well-organized information with sections and subsections
  • Email Delivery: Automatically sent to your inbox for convenient access
  • Permanent Storage: Reports are saved in your account for future reference

Managing Search Credits​

The Online Search feature uses a credit system:

  • Basic searches use 1 credit
  • Advanced searches use 2 credits
  • Report generation uses 10 credits

Your available search credits are displayed when you hover over the Search button or the Create Report button.

Tips for Effective Searching​

  1. Be Specific: Clearly state what information you're looking for
  2. Use Keywords: Include company names, or specific topics
  3. Choose the Right Topic: Use "News" for recent developments and "General" for broader information
  4. Review Sources: Check the source material to verify the information
  5. Generate Reports: For important topics, create a summary report for more comprehensive analysis

The search results and reports are generated based on publicly available information and AI analysis. Always verify critical information through official sources before making investment decisions.
